These coconut and peanut butter spiced energy bites will quickly become your favourite snack. Ready in under 15 minutes, they taste far better than many store-bought options.

Happy Halloween!
If you were expecting spooky or elaborate treats today, this recipe isn’t that—but it’s a delicious, approachable snack for kids and adults alike. These bites are simple to make and perfect when you want something wholesome and satisfying.
What are the energy bites?
Energy bites are small, no-bake ball-shaped snacks made from protein, healthy fats, fibre and complex carbohydrates. They are filling, portable and a great option for anyone looking for smarter snacking choices that still satisfy a sweet tooth.

It’s spice season
As the weather cools, warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and mixed spice become staples. They add depth and comfort to breakfasts, stews, baked goods and drinks with very little effort. A pinch of spice transforms simple ingredients into something cosy and aromatic.

How to make coconut and peanut butter spiced energy bites
These bites are straightforward. Start with rolled oats, shredded coconut and your favourite warming spice—mixed spice is used here but you can swap in cinnamon or a combination you prefer. Warm the peanut butter gently, stir in maple syrup until smooth, then combine with the dry ingredients. Shape the mixture into small balls and chill until firm. That’s it—no baking required.

Enjoy snacking without the guilt
While eating an entire batch at once isn’t the healthiest habit, one or two of these bites make a satisfying, nutrient-dense treat that can fit into a balanced diet. They’re also much cheaper and fresher than many pre-packaged energy balls.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
