These are absolutely one of my favourite Christmas cookies. If I had to choose, I could easily eat dozens of these Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls. Peanut butter and chocolate are a classic, irresistible pairing — perfect for the holidays. Give these a try this season and I hope your friends and family love them as much as I do.

Let’s break down the ingredients for these Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
This recipe is simple but exceptionally delicious. With only six main ingredients you can make a handheld dessert that disappears fast. The combination of creamy peanut butter, sweet icing sugar and crunchy graham crumbs makes every bite balanced and satisfying.
The ingredients used here are room-temperature butter, peanut butter, icing sugar, graham cracker crumbs (or rice crispies), vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate chips or wafers for melting, and a little finishing salt. Each component plays a clear role: the butter and peanut butter create a smooth, airy base; the icing sugar provides sweetness and structure; the graham crumbs add a toasted, honeyed note; vanilla lifts the flavours; the chocolate coating delivers richness; and a sprinkle of salt at the end sharpens the overall taste.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup room temperature butter
- 1 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 3 cup icing sugar
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs or rice crispies
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or wafers for melting
- 2 tsp salt for finishing
Instructions:
-
In a large bowl, mix the room-temperature butter and peanut butter until smooth. A hand mixer or stand mixer works well to get a creamy base.
-
Add the icing sugar, graham cracker crumbs (or rice crispies) and vanilla. Mix until everything is fully incorporated and the mixture holds together.
-
Using your hands, roll the mixture into balls about 1 tablespoon each and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. When all the balls are formed, freeze the sheet for about 20 minutes so the centers firm up — this helps the chocolate coating set neatly.
-
While the balls chill, melt the chocolate using a microwave in short bursts or a double boiler until smooth.
-
Dip each firm peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, return to the parchment-lined sheet, and immediately sprinkle a small pinch of salt on top before the chocolate fully sets. Allow the chocolate to cool and harden, then enjoy.
Enjoy!
