These Peanut Butter Honey Oat Cereal Bars are simple to prepare and ideal for a grab-and-go breakfast or a satisfying snack.
Mornings in my house are usually rushed. We leave before 7 am, so unless everyone wakes up extra early, there isn’t much time to prepare breakfast.
I’m definitely not a morning person, so having quick, ready-to-eat options makes getting out the door a lot easier.
On weekends I often make muffins or other breakfast items that the kids can grab during the week. Cereal bars are especially handy for morning or after-school snacks because they’re fast to make and travel well.
I’ve been making no-bake treats with different cereals for a while, and these peanut butter honey oat cereal bars are one of my favorites. They have a great combination of chewy and crunchy textures and a delicious sweet-savory flavor.
The ingredient list is short: honey-roasted cereal, peanut butter, vanilla, honey, brown sugar and raisins. You heat the honey and brown sugar, stir in the peanut butter and vanilla, then mix in the cereal and raisins. Press the mixture into a pan, chill until firm, and slice into bars.
