Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water optional
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 7 hamburger buns
  • Optional: carrot and celery sticks

Instructions

  • Lightly spray the crock pot with cooking spray.
  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain, and add the meat to the crock pot.
  • Return the skillet to the heat and cook the garlic and chopped onion for 3–4 minutes.
  • Add the cooked garlic and onion, ketchup, water (if using), brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to the crock pot and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for about 2.5 hours.
  • Stir in the shredded Cheddar until melted and evenly combined.
  • Serve on hamburger buns with carrot and celery sticks on the side, if desired.
